Leslie Gonzales

Business Manager

Leslie Gonzalez, an experienced professional with a Bachelor of Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Science in Education from Walden University, joined Unitec in 2019 as a Business Manager. Drawing from previous management and executive roles in the education and non-profit sectors, Leslie effectively utilizes her knowledge to identify and pursue new opportunities and partnerships in our target markets, specifically with municipalities, utility companies, and private entities. With an extensive background in the field, including a remarkable twenty-year tenure at Construimport—a leading Cuban firm in the Iron and Steel industry—she has perfected her skills in budget management, statistical and financial analysis, and the effective use of computerized accounting systems. Construction Operations Manager

Javier Parera is a skilled Construction Operations Manager specializing in fiber optics and structured cabling infrastructure since 2010 when he joined the Unitec team. Renowned for his meticulous planning, seamless implementation, efficient tracking, and successful completion of multi-million-dollar telecom projects, Javier brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Holding a degree in Industrial Engineering from CUJAE, as well as certifications in Fiber Optics and Structured Cabling Infrastructure, he demonstrates exceptional skills in project estimation, budgeting, and fostering effective team collaboration. Javier's determination, composed demeanor, and commitment to excellence consistently ensures client satisfaction.

José Gutiérrez

Fiber Optics Network Manager

Jose Gutierrez, our fiber optics lead technical resource, plays a pivotal role in collaborating closely with broadband partners and carriers, overseeing their ISP and OSP fiber plants. Notably, Jose's experience includes his decade long instrumental involvement in building the fiber optics distribution network for Movistar, Spain's largest telecom provider. His expertise lies in effectively overseeing the design, installation, maintenance, and expansion of our clients' fiber optic networks, ensuring adherence to quality standards, compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional technical support. Since joining Unitec in 2018, Jose has consistently proven to be an invaluable asset to our team.

Joel Balmaseda has spent 20 years at Unitec and has established himself as a skilled Network Operations Manager, boasting a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry. With a certified State of Florida Low Voltage contractor license and multiple certifications in low voltage and fiber optic networks, Joel possesses the necessary qualifications to undertake the most intricate projects.
